Either while driving it while riding, what's the fastest you've been in a car?
My personal record is 120 in a 1992 Porsche 911. What's yours?

Riding: 134mph in my dad's 1978 Porsche 924. Before you get that confused look on your face, we swapped the original motor for a slightly larger Audi engine that was bored out. Close second was 126mph in a race-prepped Miata on Road Atlanta.
Driving: 137mph in my old '97 Saturn SC2. Yes, it'll do 137. Yes, it was pretty much at redline. No, there's no enough downforced at that speed. Yes, it kind of had trouble staying in contact with the ground.

About 265 kph (~165mph), in a modified E46 M3. This was on the Autobahn near Munich so totally legal. I did get passed by a big Merc at about that speed.
In the US, about 140 in an E39 M5. That was way scarier.

160 in an 2004 M3 on Alligator Alley. How 160 in a car that's electronically limited to 154 you ask? It's because the limit is only engaged in 5th gear, 4th gear at the red line has a couple more mph.
145 in a CTS-V (was much more stable than the m3)

Riding- Whatever the speed limiter was on my friend's 98 BMW 740il on many occasions. It was like 134 or something. It felt like we were doing 90. Also, over 100mph on a two lane somewhat residential back road that had a 30 or 35mph limit at like 10pm one time. He was an idiot.
Driving-I've done 90 indicated in my Miata, but the speedo is off a bit. Going fast in a straight line isn't fun in it, and I don't really want to risk losing my license.

There's no way in hell that I'm the only one willing to admit being a member of the 200+MPH club. My first was out in the desert of northern Nevada on a closed course in a borrowed Lambo.
Hell I did 160MPH in this just to verify the speed limiter (135) was turned off.
This has been to 187MPH (planning a 200+ run in it this year):
And there's only one guy on here (who will remain unmentioned) I'd be afraid to compare Mach numbers with but my best was 1.6M over Lake Superior.

I think I got in the 15os in the 12C that caused me to make funny faces. Felt like nothin'. Could've done more if they weren't telling us to lift on COTA's back straight. That car was ridiculously quick.
Sketchiest high-speed run was 121 in the Failtima. I was dumb, don't try this at home, yadda yadda. The car would cut power at 118, so the rest was just momentum. Turdly, shaky momentum.

I did around 140 in my 2001 Olds Aurora V8, and that was the smoothest missile I've ever driven.
